Local 108 & Englewood Public Library Fight Back
February 13, 2012
Local 108 stood by its member library employees at a recent Englewood City Council meeting and demanded that the Council reject a proposed cutback of $515,000. With the support of Local 108, library employees and many concerned citizens strengthened their position and began to push back against the Englewood Library Board of Trustees’ initial offer to conceding a $270,000 cutback. In doing so, Local 108 is emerging as a strong voice for New Jersey’s public libraries.
